But, a journey in time is difficult to navigate. You can find yourself going in circles.

4 for winning the fight? The battle or the war?

Winning a fight usually takes defeating your opponent. But sometimes the fight itself is the enemy’s scheme to keep you busy.

Every single step takes you somewhere. Even if you stand still, every click of the clock will still take you somewhere. We are constantly making decisions to get to where we want. But, a journey in time is difficult to navigate. You can find yourself going in circles. Do you remember “4 for what“? It’s that day for checking if the routine is still consonant with the priorities. With each moment presenting challenges and opportunities, we are likely to stray. We need to periodically check the compass to see if we are still on the right path. You can choose your own day for this assessment but I will share with you around 4th of every month.

Is it all for winning the fight?

We plan, and God laughs. You can look back and see the steps you took to get to where you are now. But, it’s a voyage; the sea you are moving in has a life and motion of its own. While we progress, things are changing. A good number of us had big plans for the year 2020. Little did we know that covid-19 would dominate the year, and would even spill into 2021. Where are you now? Are you within the frame of your plan? Are you riding the tide or were you washed away?

It is hard enough to account for every choice you made till you got here. Yet to know exactly where you stand, you have to be aware of other powerful influences on your life. The choices you make are almost always about declaring a fight. It takes courage and effort to make any meaningful choice. There is so much conflict and challenge surrounding us, yet we are still here; not dead, still going. So where are we going? Is it all about winning the fight?

Winning a fight usually takes defeating your opponent. But sometimes the fight itself is the enemy’s scheme to keep you busy. Focus on your goal. Imagine in a football match; when your opponent is leading, they can play just to keep you at bay while the clock ticks. Even in troubled times, try to see clearly. Press on your goal.
